So, guess this means John and Joan Q Public are now going to know who Ayn Rand is. #tlgcs

Bishop – the challenge in this new awareness is that Ayn Rand makes a compelling case that supports the myth of the individual. All that rose up in anger of the President’s “you didn’t build that” comment will feel vindicated. American’s are increasingly insular in their thinking. Even in my liberal, New Thought congregation I find more people retreating into themselves out of fear. Their fear seems to be of personal loss. My challenge as their Spiritual Leader is to help them understand that true peace of mind is built on community. The spiritual path, which Ms. Rand denigrated begins with a personal quest, but our best experience of God is “in the world.”
