The Board of Directors of Lutherhill Ministries met Saturday, February 19, 2011 to begin the search for the next Executive Director of Lutherhill. We value and appreciate the service, leadership and guidance that Evan Moilan has brought to Lutherhill over the last seven years and wish him well. We know that he will give to his newjob the same passion that he gave to Lutherhill. The Ministry is in a great position and we are confident that Lutherhill will continue to grow and thrive.
We will start the process of seeking a new Executive Director by the end of March. This past week we asked Matt Kindsvatter and Kristin Albers Lamm to serve as Acting Co-Directors until we have found and hired an Interim Executive Director.
We will hire an Interim Executive Director to serve during the busy summer camping season and will begin a national search for a new Executive Director by the end of next month. We are optimistic that we will have a number of highly qualified applicants.
The Board of Directors has launched an email address ofboard for any and all concerns, thoughtsand inquiries as to job postings for either of these positions.
We trust fully in Kristin and Matt to maintain Lutherhill’s vital ministry during this transition. The Board of Directors will be available to Kristin and Matt as required.
It is the Board’s intention to keep the Lutheran community well informed as we progress towards the hiring of a new Executive Director for Lutherhill Ministries.
The camp is in very good shape. Our Ministry touched nearly 7,500 people last year. Through the generosity of families and congregations, we have expanded the camp’s footprint with 9.22 acres of new land, built important infrastructure as well as the Carby Chapel Center, six new cabins, and the Broesche Retreat Center.
With your prayers and support, we will continue to pursue our mission to be “a place for all people of every generation, to experience the love of Christ in unique settings and new ways”.
President, Board of Directors
