Marjorie and Richard (retired pastor) Baker say they only had a few seconds. They heard what Marjorie describes as a “tornado,” and they jumped into the closet. Minutes later, the roofing was torn off of their house. Their antenna was bent into the pretzel pictured here. Then the rain started dripping through the ceiling.
When Marjorie and I walked through the house this morning, the ceilings were stained and the wood flooring was swelling up. She says the light fixture globes were filled with water. The computer is drying in hopes of a joyful resurrection. Today she was waiting at the house for a garbage container to arrive, for the electrician to give an estimate, for the insurance company to make an appraisal.
Keep the Bakers in your prayers as they go through this difficult, sudden curve ball.
