Meet Pastor Chon Pugh.

This Sunday, November 15, 2020 Pastor Pugh was installed as the pastor at a unique congregation where Presbyterians and Lutherans worship together: First Memorial, Texas City.

When I arrived today, I discovered in Chon’s office a photo of 16 of her 17 grandchildren:

Pastor Pugh was installed today by General Presbyter Lynn Hargrove, the Moderator of the New Covenant Presbytery, Dean Richard Rhoades (First Lutheran, Galveston) and yours truly. Pastor Marcia Kifer preached. Many thanks to Bishop’s Associate Tracey Breashears Schultz for her hard traditional work with the council and call committee at First Memorial.
