Saint Paul has been through a lot. In 2020, the pandemic and then hurricane Laura which destroyed their sanctuary. Then in 2021 the freeze, and in May one of the councilmembers died in a tragic car accident. Pastor Tim Norris has been there 14 years. Deacon Peggy Hahn is working closely with them to develop a ministry plan to move forward.

It does amaze me how small the plot feels now that the church has been completely demolished, compared to how big it felt inside.

The building a block away has still not been demolished.

Although they are not entirely sure what they are going to do with it, they did save the corner stone.

They are now worshiping in the fellowship hall. The space is working pretty well. They also seem satisfied with the insurance settlement, and now are imagining their mission and ministry moving forward.

Clearly Pastor Tim could use a few more guitars.

They grilled hamburgers and hotdogs following worship.

Given all that they have been through, I found it touching that they were focused on sending gifts to Peace Lutheran Church in Slidell, Louisiana following their recent flooding there.
