October 6, 2022, just two days after the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, students, and some friendly adults, who provide dinner to eat, and pets to bless, gathered on this beautiful evening to worship outdoors, and bless the animals. Thanks to Isabella Schemidt for the photos (the best ones).

There’s something fun about worshiping with animals, one of God‘s greatest gifts to us. It adds a certain… energy and playfulness.

Beau, our eight year old dachshund, came along with me. Henry, our four year old dachshund, does not like to ride in the car, so he decided to stay at home. Bo had the time of his life, greeting everyone, and receiving a lot of attention. In particular, he appreciated the Swedish meatballs at the buffet. Other than one minor altercation with one of the cats, he had a good time.

We discovered that Beau believes in common cup.
And he wants to be in the band. A chip off the old block.

Many thanks to Pastor Jerry Wirtley for planning the evening. A good time was had by all, and if you don’t believe me, just ask Service Dog Tuesday:
