This morning, Christ the King, Sunday, November 20, 2022, I had the privilege of preaching and presiding at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Metairie, in Bucktown.

Pastor LaGrange has served this congregation for many years. Todd is a second career pastor who helped out at a number of congregations, including Galilean in Laplace, following Hurricane Katrina.

Afterwards, I hung out for a while and got some great advice about preparing my oyster stuffing for Thanksgiving. It was fun to be with Sid (Captain Sid from Captain Sid‘s Seafood in Metairie). Good culinary advice from that family. I wish I had remembered to take more pictures.

I am grateful to Ron and Deborah Unger, who housed and fed me this weekend as usual. For the last 15 years!
