I am privileged to sit on the Board of Directors for Interfaith Ministries, which administers Meals On Wheels for the greater Houston area. What an awesome and committed group of people.
Bringing a hot meal to the front door of the rapidly growing senior population in the Houston area is important work. MoW provides home-delivered meals to over 7,300 unduplicated homebound seniors and adults with disabilities in five counties – Harris, Galveston, Montgomery, Liberty and Chambers. IM has eliminated the backlog of needy seniors seeking meals.

o Interfaith Relations and Community Partners
IM has grown from resettling 400 refugees to 4,000. IM is a $53M organization with 250 employees.
Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston and Galveston County is able to serve clients with the help of partners like Harris County Area Agency on Aging, Texas Health and Human Services Commission and Managed Care Organizations serving Southeast Texas. In conjunction with the Harris County Community Services Department, Interfaith Ministries reaches out to the remote areas of Harris County, serving elders across the county. Interfaith Ministries also partners with organizations in Liberty, Chambers and Montgomery Counties to deliver these meals.
Because people of their pets, feeding them anyway they can, even depriving themselves, Animeals delivers pet food to over 1,300 cats and dogs of Meals on Wheels clients. Interfaith Ministries collects donated pet food that volunteers deliver each month to clients.
